What is Kevat?
Kevat is a peer-to-peer mental health support app built by HumanX Labs Inc. It connects people experiencing emotional difficulty — stress, anxiety, heartbreak, grief, or life transitions — with trained peer supporters who have lived through similar challenges. Kevat provides real-time, text-based conversations in a safe, moderated environment. Available on iOS and Android in India and the United States.
How does Kevat work?
After downloading the app, you share a little about what you're going through. Kevat matches you with a peer supporter who has lived experience with something similar. You then have a private, real-time conversation — no waiting lists, no appointments needed. Peer supporters have completed Kevat's supporter program before connecting with anyone on the platform.
Who are the peer supporters on Kevat?
Kevat peer supporters are real people who have personally experienced challenges similar to yours — anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, or health struggles — and have come through them. They are not licensed therapists or counsellors. They are trained in active listening and peer support principles through Kevat's supporter program before they can connect with anyone on the platform.
Is Kevat a replacement for therapy?
No. Kevat provides peer support, not clinical therapy, diagnosis, or medical advice. If you are experiencing a serious mental health condition, please consult a licensed mental health professional. Kevat is designed for everyday emotional support — stress, loneliness, life transitions, and similar challenges. If you are in crisis, please contact a helpline immediately (see below).
Is Kevat free to use?
The Kevat app is free to download on iOS and Android. Please check the app for current pricing details on any premium features.
Is my conversation private?
Yes. Conversations are private and your personal data is handled in accordance with Kevat's Privacy Policy, which complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (2023) and the IT Act (2000). Kevat does not sell your personal data. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.
Is Kevat available outside India?
Kevat is currently available in India and the United States. Download links for the App Store and Google Play are on the Kevat homepage.
